If the user selects the character(image) message(S113), the user selects a message according given procedures and registers it as the absent message.

CONSTITUTION: A couple sets up and configure a theme list on the web page of a server system(S31). The server system stores and manages this theme information in an associated user area of a server DB(S32). In case that one of the couple wants to send a message to the other side, the calling side accesses the couple service of the server system through his terminal(S33). The server system confirms the information of the caller, reads relevant theme information from the server DB, and transmits it to the calling couple terminal. If the calling side selects a desired theme and clicks on its transmission(S34), the server system transmits a relevant character-type message to the other couple terminal after confirming the other side's phone number through couple information(S35).

    • PURPOSE: A method for managing a message in a mobile communication system is provided to efficiently use a memory space and minimize the omission to an important message by filtering a message using information of a transmitter and memorizing filtered information as a newest message according to each transmitter. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting system transmits information of a transmitter and a message receipt request message to a receiving system(S310). The receiving system extracts information of the transmitter(S320), and judges whether the transmitter is a designated transmitter(S330). If the transmitter is the designated transmitter, a designation message slot allocated to the transmitter is searched. If an empty slot is searched, the empty slot is selected. If the empty slot does not exist, a message slot primarily received from the designated transmitter is selected(S341). A message data is received from the transmission system(S360), and the received message data is stored in the selected message slot(S361). If the transmitter is a general transmitter, a suitable storing space is searched in a general message slot(S340). It is judged whether an empty slot exists in the general message slot. If the empty slot exists in the general message slot, the empty slot is selected as a storing space. If the empty slot does not exist in the general message slot, a message slot of a same transmitter is searched and a primarily received slot is selected among the searched slots. A slot for receiving two messages or more is searched among message slots of a general transmitter, or a primarily received message slot of the general transmitter for receiving most messages is selected(S350). If a suitable message slot(empty slot) is searched in a general message slot, a message data is received from the transmitting system(S360). A last message is stored in the selected message slot(S361). If the suitable empty slot is not searched, a receipt rejection message is transmitted to the transmitting system(S370).
