    • PURPOSE: A stereoscopic image display device and a controlling method thereof are provided to continuously and stably provide a stereoscopic image screen in response to an extent of a change even in case an eye position of a user changes according to a change of a user position. CONSTITUTION: One electrode includes one or more extended electrodes (313,323). The other electrode includes one or more extended electrodes (513,523). A liquid crystal part forms a barrier pattern according to an electric field or an electric potential difference which are selectively formed between the one electrode and the other electrode. A terminal part respectively applies a voltage or a pulse to the one electrode and the other electrode. Two or more extended electrodes of the other electrode are overlapped about the one extended electrode of the one electrode. The arranged state of the formed barrier pattern can be changed according to the applied state of the applied voltage or pulse.

    • The present invention relates to a stereoscopic image display device and a manufacturing method thereof and more specifically, to a stereoscopic image display device and a manufacturing method thereof capable of smoothly providing a stereoscopic image in spite of the position movement of a user. To achieve the purpose, the present invention provides the stereoscopic image display device and the manufacturing method thereof comprising; a one side electrode having one or more extension electrodes which are mutually separated; the other side electrode having one or more extension electrodes which are mutually separated; a liquid crystal unit which is arranged between the one side and the other side electrodes and forms a barrier pattern according to an electric field difference or a potential difference which is selectively formed between the one side and the other side electrodes; and a terminal unit which individually applies a voltage or pulse to the one side and the other side electrodes. The extension electrode of the one side electrode and the extension electrode of the other side electrode are partially overlapped. The arrangement state of the barrier pattern formed on the liquid crystal unit is changed according to the application state of the voltage or pulse which is applied to the one side and the other side electrodes.
