    • A heat-resistant protecting tube for a low carbon steel probe is provided to have excellent performances such as thermal shock resistance, heat resistance, corrosion resistance and strength, and be harmless to people. A heat-resistant protecting tube for a low carbon steel probe comprises 60-70wt% of diatomaceous earth as a primary material in inorganic powder, 10-20wt% of wollastonite as a secondary material in the inorganic powder, 2-10wt% of bentonite as an inorganic binder, and 2-10wt% of an aid consisting of at least any one selected from silica sols and hexametaphosphates. A method for manufacturing the heat-resistant protecting tube includes the steps of: mixing the materials with water, and stirring the mixture for a sufficient time to obtain a slurry; pressing the slurry on an outer circumference surface of a metallic core rod(60); taking out the extrusion-molded metallic core rod to remove moisture with hot blast or at ambient temperature.
