    • A simple compact bisplit mold for tire forming that at mold clamping, prevents pinching of unvulcanized tire, producing a high-performance tire; and a process for manufacturing a tire by the use of the mold. There are provided superior and inferior segments plurally split in the direction of tire circumference, adapted to interlock each other slidably along an inclined plane made on container rings disposed in a pair of containers vertically arranged; and opening-closing driving means for causing the superior and inferior segments to move close to or distant from each other through vertically bisplit center plate between the pair of containers vertically arranged. Further, a superior side plate and an inferior side plate are detachably fitted to the pair of containers vertically arranged, respectively. The vertically bisplit mold for tire forming is detachably fitted inside the segments and, by the operation of the opening-closing driving means, the superior and inferior segments are slid toward the direction of tire center axis through slide unit means.

    • A casting apparatus is provided to manufacture a high quality cast by charging molten metal from a hopper into a mold and solidifying the charged molten metal while applying a fixed pressure. A casting apparatus(1) comprises a platform(2), and a fixing device(4) with a push plate ascended descended by a lifting cylinder. A hopper(7) and a mold(5) are fixed to the platform by the fixing device. The platform moves within an angle range of 0~90° about a rotary shaft(2a) by the operation of a rod of a tilting cylinder(3). When the platform is moved to the vertical position, the mold and the hopper are moved from the horizontal position to the vertical position. The mold is made up of a top mold(5a) and a bottom mold(5b) which form a cavity in which a gypsum mold is installed. A seal member is interposed between the contact surfaces of the top and bottom molds to keep airtightness.
