摘要： Disclosed are a showcase lighting device and a method for controlling brightness thereof. The showcase lighting device comprises: a lighting part having a plurality of lighting lamps; a switching relay for turning on/off the driving power supplied to the lighting part; an adjusting part for outputting a PWM pulse to adjust the brightness of the lighting lamps; an illuminance sensor part for detecting a surrounding illuminance value; and a control part. The control part regularly detects the illuminance value, varies a pulse width of the PWM pulse outputted by the adjusting part based on the detected illuminance value and controls the brightness of the lighting lamps according to the surrounding illuminance. If the illuminance value is larger than a superordinate threshold value, the control part outputs a full PWM pulse having maximum pulse width to control the brightness of the lighting lamps up to the maximum illuminance. If the illuminance value is smaller than the subordinate threshold value, the control part outputs the PWM pulse having the minimum pulse width to control the brightness of the lighting lamp to the low illuminace. The present invention is able to adjust the illuminance by itself according to the illuminance of the surrounding environment, thereby maximizing a natural lighting effect and realizing a power saving function.
