    • PURPOSE: An input device, an electronic device and a cellular phone using the same are provided to reduce power consumption by supplying power to different magnetic field detector when a manipulation dial is operated. CONSTITUTION: An input device includes a cylindrical permanent magnet(51), a manipulation dial(52), a click spring(54), two magnetic field detectors(34,35), and a control circuit(36). The cylindrical permanent magnet is rotatably supported at the center thereof. The manipulation dial is implemented on the same axis as the permanent magnet and is rotated with the permanent magnet. The click spring generates a click-feeling according to alternating N and S poles. The magnetic field detectors detect change in a magnetic field and are implemented to generate a phase difference in the detected result. The control circuit detects the rotational direction of the manipulation dial based on the detected signal and detects the rotational amount based on the signal detected at one of the magnetic field detectors.

    • A vibration-generating device used for portable telephones, etc. The device has a rotor (110) and a stator (120) rotatably supporting the rotor, and generates vibration by rotating the rotor.
