摘要： A memory card equipped with an ESD(ElectroStatic Discharge) protection function is provided to prevent damage of internal devices by installing an ESD protection path on the memory card, extending a part of the ESD protection path to an edge of a board, and discharging an ESD current to the ESD protection path. A board such as a PCB(Printed Circuit Board) includes a signal path. A set of contacts(220) is arranged on the board for electric connection with an external device. At least one chip is installed on the board and is electrically connected to the set of contacts through the signal path. The ESD protection path(230) is arranged on the board to discharge the ESD current. The signal path is not electrically connected to the edge of the board and the part of the ESD protection path is extended to the edge of the board. The ESD protection path includes a ground-connected circuit not connected to the signal path electrically and has a metal layer having no contact with the signal path. The metal layer is a copper, a copper film or a copper compound occupying a large area. The contacts include at least one power, ground, and data terminal, and the ESD protection path is electrically connected to the ground terminal.
