CONSTITUTION: A recording medium comprises a data area in which user data is recorded, an inner area which is located inside the data area in the circumferential direction, and an outer area which is located outside the data area in the circumferential direction. The inner area or/and the outer area include one or more disk management areas. The disk management areas comprise a defect list area in which a defect list entry is recorded and a defect management area including a terminator in which information on the termination of the defect list area is recorded. The size of the defect management area is determined according to the size of the defect list area, and the defect management area comprises a header area in which information on the number of defect list entries is recorded.

CONSTITUTION: One or more memory cell(140) comprises a plurality of blocks. Each block includes a plurality of sectors. A controller(120) determines the number of error bits through ECC correction about the reading target sector. The controller establishes the number of error bit as the abrasion about the block including the read target sector is abrasion value. The controller performs the abrasion about each block.

A recording medium comprises a plurality of recording layers, wherein a test area and a management area(2048) are successively allocated on each recording layer. The test area is physically allocated in front of the management area, comprising a test zone(2040) on which a test signal is recorded, and a test area buffer(4), on which the test signal is not recorded, adjacent to the management area. The test area buffer is allocated in a size which allows tracking for the management information area to start from the test area buffer.

    • PURPOSE: A message service method for a mobile communication network is provided to easily grasp a message by converting a voice message or a character message transmitted from an origination-side terminal into an image message and transmitting the image message to a termination-side terminal. CONSTITUTION: A user of an origination-side terminal pushes a "message" key of a keypad and selects a "message send" among a sub-menu displayed on an LCD(S101). If an "1. character input" and a "2. voice input" are displayed on the LCD, the user selects one(S102). If the user selects the "1. character input", the user inputs transmitting characters in a message input window(S104) and pushes a confirmation key. If the user selects the "2. voice input", the user inputs a voice(S105) and inputs the confirmation key. The user selects a "2. picture mode" between an "1. voice mode" and the "2. picture mode" displayed on the LCD and sets the picture mode(S107). After the user inputs a corresponding telephone number of a termination-side terminal(S108), the user pushes a call key for transmitting the inputted voice message or character message to a mobile communication network(S110). An image extracting service server analyzes a received character message or voice message, retrieves and extracts an image similar to analyzed information among images previously stored in a database, transmits the extracted image to an MSC(Mobile Switching Center), and transmits the image to the termination-side terminal through a base station/BSC(Base Station Controller) connected to the MSC(S112,S114).
