    • An array substrate for a liquid crystal display device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a substrate; a gate line and a common line positioned on the substrate; a gate insulating film positioned on the gate line and the common line; a semiconductor layer positioned on the gate insulating film, and facing the gate line; a source electrode and a drain electrode positioned on the semiconductor layer; an organic insulating film positioned on the source electrode and the drain electrode, including a first contact hole exposing the drain electrode, and having a stepped portion formed on a sloping surface of the first contact hole; a common electrode positioned on the organic insulating film, and connected to the common line; a passivation film positioned on the substrate having the common electrode, and coming in contact with the drain electrode via the first contact hole; and a pixel electrode positioned on the passivation film to correspond to the common electrode, and contacting the drain electrode.

    • In a liquid crystal display panel according to one embodiment of the present invention, a cell gap is maintained by a column spacer which is located between a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate includes a data line of a vertical direction, a gate line of a transverse direction, a pixel defined in a matrix by the intersection of the data line and the gate line, a TFT which is arranged in each pixel and switches a data voltage, a protection layer which covers the data line, the gate line, and the TFT, a color filter which is formed on the protection layer, and a black matrix which is formed on the color filter and defines a display region and a non-display region. The second substrate includes a burying hole to receive the column spacer. The column spacer maintaining the cell gap is formed between the first substrate and the second substrate. When the first substrate is bonded to the second substrate, the column spacer is received in the burying hole.
