    • PURPOSE: A global positioning system for storing fingerprinting-based location information and a method thereof are provided to construct location database by estimating location of a tag and movement route. CONSTITUTION: At least one beacon apparatus(110a~110c) transmit a beacon signal to a tag(130). The tag measures signal intensity of beacon signals received from the beacon apparatus at a random location, and transmits the measured signal intensity per beacon to a specific beacon apparatus. A server(150) analyses the signal strength per beacon, and judges whether at least one measured signal strength exceeds a maximum value. When the signal strength exceeds the maximum value, the server divides distance between corresponding beacon apparatus equally and then distributes the measured signal strength to each divided location. The server stores the signal strength per location into a database.
