    • A method of manufacturing light olefin from hydrocarbon is provided to manufacture light olefin with high selectivity and high purity from hydrocarbon material by maintaining high decomposition activity at low temperature. The method of manufacturing light olefin from hydrocarbon includes the steps of: (a) supplying hydrocarbon as a supply material; (b) transferring the supply material to inside of at least fixed bed or a fluidized bed, and reacting it under the presence of a catalyst; and (c) isolating and collecting light olefin from the effusion from the reaction area. The catalyst consists of a material produced by the moisture evaporation of law material mixture including 100 weight part of molecular sieve having -Si-OH-Al-, 0.01-5.0 weight part of water insoluble metal salt, and 0.05-17.0 weight part of phosphate compound.

    • PURPOSE: A heavy alkylate is found as a useful raw material of both of the colorless and odorless and non-toxic light and heavy isoparaffin solvents besides as a known additive for high-octane gasoline. CONSTITUTION: A heavy alkylate is produced by introducing C3 and C4 olefine and isobutane into a reactor and adding acid as a catalyst. The olefine and isobutane are mixed together in a volume ratio of 0.5-5:1. The reaction is carried out at 0-30 deg.C. The alkylate contains 10-70 wt.% of isoparaffin component having at least C9, based on total weight of final product. After the reaction on the present of the acid catalyst, the obtained product is separated into acid phase and hydrocarbon phase. The acid phase is returned to the reactor while the hydrocarbon phase flowing into an evaporator. The hydrocarbon phase moves into a separation bed to recover isobutane after removing excess acid fractions.

    • PURPOSE: A process for preparing high-purity diarylethanes by removing olefins such as styrene generating problems during designing commercial processes in the process for the manufacture of diarylethanes by reacting α-methyl benzyl alcohol with aromatic hydrocarbon in the presence of a catalyst and effectively separating is provided, which produces the title compound in a simple manner in high purity(above 99%). CONSTITUTION: This process comprises the steps of: synthesizing diarylethane by reacting α-methyl benzyl alcohol with aromatic hydrocarbon in a volume ratio of 1 : 5 to 20 in the presence of a catalyst; removing water contained in the reactant; removing styrene and other olefin components from a distillate by introducing hydrogen into the distillate removed by water; removing a component having a boiling point lower than that of diarylethane by recovering a mixture having unreacted aromatic hydrocarbon content of above 90% from the reactant, supplying to the diarylethane and distilling the concentrated diarylethane in the first stage; and removing a component having a boiling point higher than that of diarylethane by distilling the concentrated mixture in the second time.
