    • PURPOSE: A method for applying a near infrared spectroscopic technique to an ethylene producing process is provided to improve a productivity of the ethylene producing process by analyzing composition of source oil and dissolved gas introduced into a pyrolysis furnace. CONSTITUTION: A near infrared analyzing device(50) including a sample picking section, a sample stabilizing section, a spectroscopic section, and an analyzing model section is provided in an ethylene producing process, in which naphtha or source oil is introduced into a pyrolysis furnace so as to create dissolved gas. Samples obtained from the sample picking section are transferred into the near infrared analyzing device(50) in real time. Then, the analyzing model section measures composition and properties of source gas and dissolved gas. The measured data are used for producing ethylene having high quality.
