摘要： PURPOSE: A navigator having a data division downloading function and an operating method thereof are provided to obtain the convenience of updating by downloading update information of a navigator using a wireless communication and to minimize an updating time. CONSTITUTION: A navigator having a data division downloading function comprises a first storing unit, a second storing unit, an update manger(121), and a control unit(120). The first storing unit stores operation information required for operating a navigator. The second storing unit stores the operation information received through a wireless communication method. The update manager is connected to an update server supplying update information of the operation information through the wireless communication method, thereby dividing and downloading the update information in the second storing unit. The update manager updates the operation information of the first storing unit using the update information stored in the second storing unit according to a selection of a user. The control unit loads up-to-date information by comparing the data stored in the first and second storing units to provide the operation information based on an input of the selection of the user.
