    • PURPOSE: A cylinder head gasket is provided to simplify the structure, to measure exactly pressure in a combustion chamber, and to optimize fuel-injection and combustion for each combustion chamber by using the measured pressure for controlling the injection and ignition time. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder head gasket is composed of at least one opening hole(3) aligned in a line with corresponding to a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine; at least one thin film metal layer(1,1',2); a membrane disposed adjacently to at least one edge of the opening hole and operated by gas pressure of the combustion chamber; a pressure sensor(9) installed in the film metal layer to detect a motion of the membrane; and a through-hole formed between the outer edge of the film metal layer and the edge of the opening hole of the combustion chamber. The side of the through-hole adjacent to the combustion chamber is blocked by the membrane. The membrane closes airtightly the through-hole from the combustion chamber. The pressure sensor is compressed in the axial direction of the through-hole by the membrane.
