    • PURPOSE: 1,2,4-Triazole derivatives, processes for the preparation thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions containing the same are provided, which compounds have improved fever-removing, pain-alleviating and anti-inflammatory activities and improve side-effects of conventional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents.     • PURPOSE: Provided is a 1,2,4-triazole derivative which replaces for conventional nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs without incurring adverse side effects, and is effectively used in treating peptic ulcer, gastritis, enteritis, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, cancer and dementia. The 1,2,4-triazole derivative is selected from the group consisting of 1-(3-fluoro-methanesulfonyl-phenyl)-5-phenyl-3-trifluoromethyl-1H-1,2,4-triazole, 1-(3-fluoro-methanesulfonyl-phenyl)-5-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3-trifluoromethyl-1H-1,2,4-triazole, and 1-(3-fluoro-methanesulfonyl-phenyl)-5-(3-chlorophenyl)-3-trifluoromethyl-1H-1,2,4-triazole.
