    • PURPOSE: A steam plant, an operating method thereof, and a steam plant improving method are provided to utilize a concentrate generated in a reverse osmosis device in a processing device and/or a blow-down water tub, thereby reducing water consumption, processing expenses, and environmental effects. CONSTITUTION: A steam plant includes a processing device (12) processing raw water; a boiler (18) generating steam; a blow-down water tub (20) receiving a hot blow-down water supply from the boiler; and a reverse osmosis device (14). The reverse osmosis device is connected to the processing device via a water inflow line (48) and connected to the boiler via an osmosis liquid line (60). The reverse osmosis device is connected to the processing device and/or the blow-down water tub via a concentrate line (74) and lines (76, 78, 80, 82). The reverse osmosis device receives processed water from the processing device and produces osmosis liquid supplied to the boiler via the osmosis liquid line and concentrate supplied to the processing device and/or the blow-down water tub via the concentrate line and the lines.

    • PURPOSE: A steam plant, an operating method thereof, and a steam plant improving method are provided to reduce expenses for discharging blow-down water by discharging a little amount of the blow-down water from the steam plant to a drain, thereby reducing operation expenses and environmental effects. CONSTITUTION: A steam plant includes a boiler (18), a reverse osmosis device (14), a blow-down water tub (20), and a temperature sensor (90). The boiler generates steam. The reverse osmosis device includes an RO inlet (46) receiving the inflow of water; and an osmosis liquid outlet (58) connected to the boiler via an osmosis liquid line (60) and produces osmosis liquid supplied to the boiler via the osmosis line by receiving the inflow of water. The blow-down water tub receives a hot blow-down water supply from the boiler and includes a blow-down water tub outlet (84) connected to the RO inlet via a blow-down return line. The blow-down water tub produces cooled blow-down water. The temperature sensor measures the temperature of the cooled blow-down water. A flow rate control device (86) makes the cooled blow-down water flow to the RO inlet if the temperature of the cooled blow-down water is less than a threshold value.
