摘要： Equipment for binding a strip round articles has a tension guide bridging over the article; this guide leads the strip but releases it when the strip is tensioned. The guide is made up of a series of removable linked segments. In the equipment a reel of the strip material is drawn off and passed through the guide channel until its leading ends meets a gripping device. The guide passes over the table, which holds the article to be bound. When the strip is held by the clamp, the draw-off reverses to tighten it, and a cutter cuts through an overlap weld in the strip. The guide is made of a number of individual segments, some straight, some curved.
