    • PURPOSE: A method for recovering molybdenum and cobalt is provided to manufacture unsaturated aldehyde and/or unsaturated carboxylic acid at high efficiency because a composite oxide catalyst is oxidized by a compound being selected from propylene, isobutylene, and tert-butyl alcohol and molecular oxygen. CONSTITUTION: A method for recovering molybdenum and cobalt is as follows. One of ammonia and an organic base is dissolved in water so that aqueous solution for an extraction is generated. Composite oxide including molybdenum and cobalt and a ceramic material and extraction aqueous solution are mixed so that the molybdenum and the cobalt are extracted from the composite oxide. 1 to 30wt.% of the ceramic material is added to 100wt.% of a total of the composite oxide and the ceramic material.
