    • PURPOSE: A drink containing mycelia cultured from Paecilomyces japonica and high polymer polysaccharide is provided to increase immunity and improve physiological activity of human body. CONSTITUTION: The drink is prepared by the following steps of : (i) culturing Paecilomyces japonica in a liquid culture medium made from synthetic medium, molasses, corn steep liquor, syrup, potato extract or sugar ; (ii) getting a liquid culture including both mycelia and high polymer polysaccharide or one of them from Paecilomyces japonica and adding to refined water or filtrated water ; and then (iii) adding 0.28-55wt% of food additives to the mixed liquid culture and sterilizing the mixture at 121deg.C for 30min. The food additives includes Vitamin, salt, amino acid, inorganic matters, nutriments, dietary fiber, iron salts, fruit juice, caffeine, flavoring agent, sweetening agent, acidulant, preservative, stabilizing agent, and herbal materials.

    • PURPOSE: A process for preparing an extract of red pepper leaf which activates a complement system and stimulates macrophage is provided. The pepper leaf extract can be useful as an additive in foods. CONSTITUTION: The process for preparing an extract of red pepper leaf which activates a complement system and stimulates macrophage comprises the steps of: steaming red pepper leaves 3 times to obtain an extract; extracting the extract with methanol in 5 times; adding ethanol into the methanol extract and stirring the mixture at 4deg. C for 24 hours; dialyzing the ethanol precipitate with distilled water for 3 days; and concentrating and freeze-drying the undialyzed fraction, wherein the extract of red pepper leaves contains arabinose, glucose and galactose as main sugars and consists of 51.8% of total sugars, 8.2% of acidic sugars and 16.8% of proteins.

    • A power transfer device is provided to show transmission of power more effectively by connecting a pair of robot hands to a piston unit. A power transfer device comprises a robot hand(10), a piston unit(40), and a support(30). In the robot hand, first to fourth fingers(15~18) are hinged on a first shaft(14) in a fixing unit(13). A second shaft is located between the first finger and the third finger. A third shaft(20) is located between the second finger and the fourth finger. Guides units(21,22) are located among the second finger, the third finger, and the support. The piston unit is attached to the back of the fixing unit, transmits force from a second piston(42) to a first piston through a plastic pipe(43), and moves the fixing unit and the guide unit at the same time. The support supports the piston unit and the guide units.
