摘要： A user sets a device name which can easily be identified for a terminal device and transmits user identification information and the device name to a terminal management server managing the terminal device. The terminal management server registers the device name while correlating it to the user identification information. Thus, the terminal management server can uniquely identify each terminal by the device name correlated to the user identification information and easily identify the device name by the user. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the labor for operating the terminal management server and realize a service use system in which the user can easily identify the individual terminal device.

摘要： A contents distributing method to download contents independent of a GUI(Graphic User Interface), a device and a method for receiving the contents, and a program are provided to enable a user to control download of the contents without depending on the GUI. An EMD(Electronic Music Distribution) client(1) requests a list including contents information to an EMD server. The EMD server(3) transmits the requested list to the client. The EMD client fixes the contents included in the received list as active contents and requests sample data for the active contents to the EMD server without user's control. The EMD server transmits the requested sample data to the EMD client. The EMD client plays the active data corresponding to the received sample data without the user's control. If the user orders obtainment of the active contents during playback of the active contents, the EMD client requests regular data for the active contents to the EMD server. The EMD server transmits the requested regular data to the EMD client.
