    • PURPOSE: A system and method for preventing wander accumulation capable of precisely distributing clocks in a large network are provided to precisely distribute clocks over a large network by eliminating wander accumulation. CONSTITUTION: A general master clock(302) includes a major precision timing source to be synchronized with a network. A first boundary clock is fixed to a general master using a conventional PTP(Precision Time Protocol) slave synchronization algorithm(320) and a standard PTP packet exchange algorithm(322). The first boundary clock generates its own stage clock error(314) by calculating its own clock error over a previous clock. The boundary clock additionally receives a general clock error signal(312). A general clock error(318) provided to the boundary clock includes an error value of the boundary clock which is measured over the general master.
