    • Disclosed by the present invention is a frictional energy dissipation device which uses a disc spring which absorbs and dissipates vibration energy which is generated by earthquake or strong wind by responding to both a compression and an extension in an axial direction. According to an appropriate embodiment of the present invention, the frictional energy dissipation device includes: a first cylinder which has a first bolt insertion hole, a protrusion having a first bolt support hole, and a first compression room on the same axis from an end to the other end inside; a first buffer means which absorbs a compressive load by an elastic deformation by being positioned in the first compression room of the first cylinder and being arranged between a connector and the first buffer means; a first bolt which is supported by the protrusion by being inserted into the first bolt insertion hole and, at the same time, is positioned inside the first cylinder by inserting the first buffer means; the connector which is inserted into the first compression room by being screw-combined with the first bolt at one end and is in contact with the first buffer means; a second cylinder which is screw-combined with the other end of the connector by mutually connecting a second compression room and a second bolt insertion hole which are mutually connected inside; the second bolt whose one part is inserted and penetrates the second bolt insertion hole by being inserted into the second compression room of the second cylinder; a second buffer means which absorbs an extension load with an elastic deformation by being positioned in the second compression room as soon as being inserted into the second bolt; end joints of left and right sides which are respectively screw-combined with the first cylinder and the second bolt; at least one pair of a friction pad and a friction plate which are attached to each other as soon as being fixated and installed in the first cylinder and the second cylinder; and a friction pad fastener which makes the friction pad forcibly attached to the friction plate with screw clamping force.
