    • The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for multi-beam focusing using a polyphase interpolation filter. The apparatus comprises a receiving unit, in which a plurality of channels arranged in a shape of an array receive RF data; an ADC unit which converts the RF data received by each channel from an analog state to a digital state; a channel memory unit which stores the RF data converted to the digital state into each channel; a data extraction unit which extracts the RF data in a coarse delay state from the channel memory unit; a delay value calculation unit which calculates an accurate delay value for the extracted RF data; a polyphase interpolation filter unit which interpolates the accurate delay value; and a beam focus unit which focuses a beam signal from the RF data, in which the accurate delay value is interpolated. According to the described configuration, the apparatus and the method for multi-beam focusing using a polyphase interpolation filter according to the present invention may improve the accuracy of beam focusing by calculating the accurate delay of the RF data without increasing the operating frequency of the system.
