    • A surface light source device, a method for manufacturing the same, and a liquid crystal display using the same are provided to extend the lifespan of the device by preventing a decrease of discharge gas through the use of protective films and a light reflector layer. A surface light source device comprises a light source body, a space divider wall(300), and a power apply unit(400). The light source body has space formed therein, and includes a protective film(240) for preventing a decrease of discharge gas and a fluorescent layer(260) formed on the protective film so as to change the non-visible light generated by the discharge gas into visible light. The space divider wall divides the space of the light source body into two discharge spaces. The power apply unit applies a discharge voltage to the discharge gas so as to generate the non-visible light from the discharge gas.

    • PURPOSE: A surface light source device, a method for manufacturing the same, and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) using the same are provided to supply discharge gas to discharge spaces formed by dividing walls so as to enhance brightness uniformity of the surface light, and remove impurity gas disposed in the discharge spaces so as to increase the lifetime of the surface light source device. CONSTITUTION: A lamp body(200) provides a flat shaped space, wherein the lamp body has a fluorescent layer, disposed in the flat shaped space, to convert an invisible light into a visible light. A space dividing member(300) divides the flat shaped space into a plurality of discharge spaces. A discharge gas supplying member(400) is disposed to pass through the space dividing member and fixed to the space dividing member. The discharge gas supplying member supplies the discharge spaces with discharge gas for generating the invisible light. A voltage applying part(500) applies discharge voltage to the discharge gas for generating the invisible light from the discharge gas.

    • A display device supporting a direct I/O(Input/Output) path of video data and a method thereof are provided to collect/display video data output from display device in anywhere without an image processing device or an external computing device by making an internal frame buffer directly offer a data I/O path. A controller(315) outputs a capture control signal for capturing the video data selected by a user. A capturer(320) captures the selected video data to the frame buffer of the display device by responding to the capture control signal. A storing part stores the captured video data to a storage device. A data communicator(325) provides an interface with the storage device. The video data is still or moving image information, and is frame data displayable to any display device.

    • PURPOSE: A voice mail treating method is able to append a preface as an additional information and treat a main text of a mail and the additional information in a various data format. CONSTITUTION: A predetermined preface which is selected by a user and a main text which a user records in voice are combined in regular sequence and transmitted as a voice mail through a mail server. The transmitted voice mail is referred to and the preface is output as a voice if the preface is a voice data. Sequentially, if the main text is also a voice data, the text is output as a voice. A voice mail data format comprises a voice data which corresponds to a predetermined preface selected by a user and the other voice data which corresponds to a main text of a mail recorded in voice by the user. Therefore, the main text and additional information of the mail can be treated in a various data format.
