    • An apparatus and a method for supporting vertical handover between different networks and a system thereof are provided to offer vertical hand over between a 3G-LTE network and a WiMAX system and offer the vertical hand over to terminals which support or does not support MIP between the 3G-LTE network and the WiMAX system and seamless vertical hand over between the 3G-LTE network and the WiMAX system. A first base station(304) wirelessly performs communication with a wireless terminal. A mobility management entity / serving gateway(301) is connected to the base station and has a client function of a dual stack proxy mobile internet protocol(DSPMIP). A process data network gateway(303) is formed. A second base station(305) performs communications with the terminal. An access service network gateway(302) has DSPMIP function.

    • PURPOSE: A method and a system for transmission data for vertical handover are provided to enable a gateway to perform a handover operation at a high speed by obtaining the information of the gateway placed in a target network. CONSTITUTION: A target gateway(140) includes interface IP(Internet Protocol) addresses. When receiving the request for the target gateway for vertical handover, a local mobility anchor(110) selects one of the interface IP addresses as the forwarding address for which handover packet is buffered in order to transmit the selected address. When the terminal requests the vertical handover, a serving gateway(130) receives the information for the target gateway, forms an IP tunnel with the target gateway, and then forwards the buffered handover packets.
    • 目的:提供一种用于垂直切换的传输数据的方法和系统,以使网关能够通过获取放置在目标网络中的网关的信息,高速地执行切换操作。 构成:目标网关(140)包括接口IP(因特网协议)地址。 当接收到用于垂直切换的目标网关的请求时,本地移动锚点(110)选择接口IP地址之一作为缓冲切换分组的转发地址,以便发送所选择的地址。 当终端请求垂直切换时,服务网关(130)接收目标网关的信息,与目标网关形成IP隧道,然后转发缓存的切换分组。

    • A handover apparatus and method in a heterogeneous wireless communication network are provided to prevent a call interruption that may be generated as a mobile terminal moves between different wireless communication systems. A CS(Circuit Switching) interface(312) transmits/receives data and a control signal to/from a CS network. An LTE/SAE(Long Term Evolution/Service Architecture Evolution interface)(313) transmits/receives data and a control signal to/from an LTE/SAE network. An IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) interface(314) transmits/receives data and a control signal to/from an IMS network. When handover to a BS(Base Station) of an LTE/SAE node is requested by a terminal via the CS interface, a controller(311) establishes a bearer with a BS of the LTE/SAE network by using the LTE/SAE interface, sets an IP address of the terminal through an SAE anchor of the LTD/SAE network, stores information of the terminal, registers the terminal to the IMS network, stores the corresponding result, and provides a handover response signal to the terminal via the CS interface.
