    • PURPOSE: A redox flow battery is provided to have high energy efficiency and charging/discharging efficiency by using a metal-ligand coordination compound comprising aliphatic ligand as positive electrode electrolyte solution and/or negative electrode electrolyte solution. CONSTITUTION: A redox flow battery comprises: a positive electrode cell(1) comprising a positive electrode(13), and positive electrode electrolyte solution(11); a negative electrode cell(2) comprising a negative electrode(14), and negative electrode electrolyte solution(12); and ion exchange membrane(10) located between the positive electrode cell and the negative electrode cell. The positive electrode electrolyte solution and the negative electrode electrolyte solution is respectively comprises non-aqueous solution, support electrolyte, and metal-ligand coordination compounds. At least one of the metal-ligand coordination compounds is a metal-ligand coordination compound comprising aliphatic ligand.
