摘要： A digital TV system having a universal CPU(Central Processing Unit) and a signal processing method for the digital TV system are provided to allow a user to watch a digital broadcasting program even while a booting operation is executed and to change a broadcasting channel using a remote controller even before system booting is completed. A digital TV system includes a digital TV module(510) and a universal CPU(500). The digital TV module independently receives and decodes digital broadcasting data when power is applied thereto irrespective of whether system booting is completed. The universal CPU receives a signal output from the digital TV module through a predetermined port and outputs the received signal to a predetermined delay device(530) while system booting is executed. The digital TV modulate includes a signal processor(512) for changing a receiving channel according to a channel change signal inputted by a user while system booting is executed. The signal processor transmits an application control signal inputted by the user to the universal CPU after system booting is completed.
