    • PURPOSE: A method for decoding an audio signal, an audio decoder applying the same, a recording medium, and an AV apparatus are provided to remove noises by removing the audio signal of high frequency area in case the audio signal of error restored high frequency area exists. CONSTITUTION: A sub band dividing unit(210) changes a decoded low frequency audio signal into the frequency domain. A high frequency generating unit(220) generates the audio signal of the high frequency area. An envelope control unit(230) controls the size of the audio signal of the high frequency area. A high frequency remover unit(260) removes the audio signal of the high frequency area in case of the difference between the critical low frequency sub band accumulated value and critical high frequency sub band accumulated value exceeds the preset value.
