    • PURPOSE: A photodetector structure and a method for controlling an angle between a laser major axis and a pit are provided to simply control an angle between a major axis of a laser unit and a pit in the range of about 45°, thereby improving the play signal characteristics and the corresponding force for double refraction disc. CONSTITUTION: A photodetector structure includes a main light sensor(50a), and first and second sub light sensors(50b,50c) disposed at both sides of the main light sensor. The first sub light sensor is divided into four parts asymmetrically. A line connected from a division center(p) of the first light sensor to a division center(q) of the main light sensor preferably forms 45° with respect to a horizontal direction. A distance(L) from the division centers is equal to an interval between first and second laser light sources in a light module. Since the first sub light sensor is asymmetrically divided into four parts, first and second light radiated from the first and second laser light sources are used commonly with respect to either side beam of three-splitted beams.
