    • A method for managing a variability point and an apparatus thereof are provided to reflect a value corresponding to a value set in a variability point to a variability point of a source code and/or a build script, thereby effectively and easily managing a component and the variability point. An apparatus for managing a variability point to display variability of a software component comprises an interlocking unit(120), a setting input unit(110), and a setting reflecting unit(130). The interlocking unit interlocks at least one of variability point of the component and variability point in a source code and/or a build script. The setting input unit receives input for setting a predetermined value of the variability point of the component. The setting reflecting unit reflects a value corresponding to a value set in a variability point in the component to at least one variability point in the source code and/or build script related to the variability point of the component.

    • An apparatus and a method for setting a user interface according to user preference are provided to improve usability and convenience by synchronizing configurations of the user interfaces of all apparatuses. An apparatus(100) for setting a user interface according to user preference includes a user interface display unit(110), a user information management unit(120), a user interface setting unit(130), a user interface synchronization processing unit(140) and a user interface tree management unit(150). The user interface display unit displays UI information on an actual multimedia apparatus according to user setting. The user information management unit manages user's security information for using the multimedia apparatus. The user interface setting unit displays overall configuration information of a UI tree. The user interface synchronization processing unit transfers the UI configuration information of the multimedia apparatus to another multimedia apparatus. The user interface tree management unit manages all UI components in the multimedia apparatus.
