    • A distributed intelligent home robot control system is provided to embody a large-capacity processing task through an inexpensive robot and to effectively control home network equipments with a user's voice command by using the home robot. If a user issues a voice command to a home robot in order to control the operation of a home network equipment, the home robot receives the voice command(S1). The home robot converts the voice command into an electrical signal through a microphone(S2), executes A/D conversion through an A/D converter, and transmits the data to a home gateway(S3). The home gateway, receiving the user's voice command, attempts voice recognition for the received voice command(S4). If the received voice command is recognizable, the home gateway executes voice recognition and sends a result to a control part(S5). The control part interprets the voice-recognized command(S6), creates a signal to operate the home network equipment according to the command, and transmits the created signal to the home network equipment through an internal communication part(S7).

The step of capturing the still image comprises the following steps of: receiving a frame indicating a compressed image of a main channel and determining whether the frame of the main channel is a key frame; decoding a non-key frame of the main channel and outputting the decoded non-key frame as an image signal of the main channel if the received frame of the main channel is not a key frame.
