An image sensor includes a plurality of light sensing device and a filter array(20). The filter array includes a plurality of filters. Each filter is stacked on the corresponding light sensing device among the plurality of light sensing devices. The plurality of filters includes a green filter(GF), a yellow filter(YeF), and a cyan filter(CyF). The green filter transmits the green component of the incident light. The yellow filter transmits the yellow component of the incident light. The cyan filter transmits the cyan component of the incident light. The yellow filter and the cyan filter are positioned in the same row. The yellow filter and the green filter are arranged to a first diagonal direction. The cyan filter and the green filter are arranged in the second diagonal direction.

    • A color filter array and a CMOS image sensor having the same are provided to reduce an influence of cross-talk and improve photosensitivity by using yellow, green and cyan filters. An image sensor includes a color filter array(8) with plural color filters(10), and plural pixels each corresponding to the color filter. A wavelength of any one of the pixels is changed by other pixels around the pixel, the color filter corresponding to the pixel with the changed wavelength is formed by combining plural pigments to compensate the changed wavelength. The color filter array has a yellow filter(4) at a first quadrant, a green filter(2) at second and fourth quadrants and a cyan filter(6) at a third quadrant.
