    • PURPOSE: A method for moving content by using a pointing device and a device thereof are provided to move the content in an intended direction and display the content by allowing for a measurement error from a simple manipulation mistake or a moving direction. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(630) displays a part of content bigger than a screen on the screen. A pointing unit points a specific position of the screen. If a position change of the pointing position of the screen is sensed while the part of the content is displayed on the screen, an obtaining unit(671) obtains a current pointing position. A comparing unit(672) designates an initial pointing position on the screen as a starting point to compare an X/Y axis variation from the starting point to the current pointing position with a set X/Y threshold value. A direction determining unit(673) determines a moving direction of the pointing position based on the comparison result.
