    • PURPOSE: A plasma display apparatus is provided to form a heat radiation path with a plane, a first inclined surface, and a second inclined surface forming a supporting part, and a cutout part, thereby improving the heat radiation performance of a driver IC. CONSTITUTION: A chassis base supports a plasma display panel. A sub chassis(115) is formed in the opposite side of the plasma display panel. A PCB(Printed Circuit Board) assembly is mounted to the chassis base in a sub chassis side. A flex circuit(27) interlinks the PCB assembly and the plasma display panel. A driver IC(Integrated Circuit)(25) arranged in the sub chassis is mounted to the flex circuit. A cover plate(31) is installed in the sub chassis to cover the driver IC. In order to elastically support the driver IC, a cutout part(131) is incised and formed in the outside facing the driver IC. A supporting part(231) is spaced from the cutout part and is protruded toward the driver IC.

    • A plasma display apparatus is provided to improve the thermal performance of the driver integrated circuit by using the thermal conductance silicon. A radiation sheet(13) emitting the heat of the PDP(11) to the outside is installed at the rear side of PDP. The radiation sheet is made of the acryl group heat spreader, the graphite group heat spreader, the metal group heat spreader or the carbon nanotube group heat spreader. A chassis base(15) is adhered to the rear side of PDP by a dual sided tape(14). A main chassis(151) and a sub chassis(152) of chassis base are included. The sub chassis comprises the first protrusion(153), a parallel portion(154), and the second protrusion(155). The circuit board assemblies are mounted on the rear side of the chassis base. The circuit board assemblies are placed on a boss(18) of the chassis base. The circuit board assemblies are fixed by a set screw(19) connected to the bosses. The flex circuit(27) is formed with the TCP including a driver integrated circuit(25). The first thermal conductance silicon(41) is formed between the driver integrated circuit and the second protrusion.
