    • A liquid crystal display and a method of driving the same are provided to improve a response speed of liquid crystal while decreasing power consumption. A liquid crystal display includes plural of pixels arranged in a matrix. The pixel has a liquid crystal capacitor and a storage capacitor having a first terminal connected to the liquid crystal capacitor and a second terminal supplied with a storage-capacitor electrode(Vsti). The storage-capacitor electrode has a first level(Va) and a second level(Vb) that are periodically changed, in which the first level is a higher voltage than the second level. The storage-capacitor electrode is dropped by a predetermined compensation value at the time of change from the first level to the second level, and is raised by the compensation value at the time of change from the second level to the first level.
