摘要： PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating cancer containing Glehnia littoralis extract is provided to suppress proliferation of cancer cells and expression of Inos, COX-2 and Bcl-2 mRNA. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating cancer contains Glehnia littoralis-derived extract or fraction as an active ingredient. The littoralis-derived fraction is n-hexane, 85% aqueous MeOH, n-BuOh and H_2O fraction. The pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating cancer contains a compound isolated from the fraction as an active ingredient. The compound is n-BuOH fraction-derived benzyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside, O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl-(1"→6')-beta-D-glucopyranoside, 1-beta-D-glucosyloxy-2-(3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl-propane-1,3-diol), 85% aqueous MeOH fraction-derived bergapten, isopimpinellin, xanthotoxin, imperatorin, falcaindiol, and n-hexane fraction-derived falcarinol.
