    • PURPOSE: A method for improving ion conductivity of a solid polymeric membrane having conductivity lower than that of a liquid electrolyte is provided to obtain a high conductivity sufficient to be used in fuel cells, secondary batteries and capacitors. CONSTITUTION: The method for improving ion conductivity of a polymeric electrolyte membrane for use in a polymeric electrolyte-based fuel cell comprises applying a strong electric field to a membrane having an electric moment therein from outside to change the molecular orientation inside of the membrane, through a poling process. The electric field has strength of 5-20 kV/cm and the poling process is carried out for 30-90 minutes.

    • PURPOSE: A method of fabricating a polymer electrolyte is provided to enhance proton conductivity and reduce influence of moisture content to the proton conductivity by fabricating a nano-tube shaped proton conduction path using fine phase separation of a block polymer. CONSTITUTION: A block polymer is fabricated by anion living polymerization to have suitably controlled fine phases. A polymer having high proton conductivity is fabricated by adding a substance which can be ionized to a hydrophilic phase of a block polymer suitably controlled in a nano-tube structure to closely compact proton clusters in hydrophilic phase parts of the fine phases, thereby to obtain the shortest passage required for movement of the proton clusters. This polymer electrolyte is used for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell so that a moisture supply is not required and high efficiency can be expected from high proton conductivity.

    • PURPOSE: Provided is an electrical conductive and exothermic mortar panel emitting far infrared rays by adding carbon and quartz porphyry to mortar, and coating mortar with insulation materials. The resultant panel has improved thermal efficiency, the uniformed temperature distribution, saved production cost and safety in use. CONSTITUTION: The mortar panel is produced by the following steps of: mixing raw materials, 5-20wt.% of carbon such as graphite, cokes, carbon black, etc., cement(alumina or portland cement), 30-50wt.% of fine aggregates(3-5mm sized sand), and powder admixture such as silica hume or fly ash, and 3-15wt.% of materials emitting far infrared rays such as quartz porphyry and yellow earth, wherein the amount of each material is based on the total weight of mortar; forming to a panel shape; coating the panel with one or more insulation materials, which is selected from urethane, alumina cement, yellow earth and water glass ceramic binder, containing hydrophobic materials such as teflon solution or a waterproofing agent; drying and evaporating solvent at 70-150deg.C for 2-4hrs by applying current, which results in the formation of pores emitting far infrared rays and preventing water permeation.
