    • A polymerizable composition containing a compound having at least one moiety represented by the formula (1): (1) wherein R1 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbons, and each of R2, R3 and R4represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbons or a hydrogen atom, characterized in that it contains a thioepoxy compound (A) having at least one moiety represented by the formula (2): (2) and at least one moiety represented by the formula (3): (3), and a thioepoxy compound (B) having at least one moiety represented by the formula (4): (4) and at least one moiety represented by the formula (3), in a sum of the amounts of both compounds of 4 mass % or less relative to the total amount of the polymerizable composition; and a method for producing the polymerizable composition. The use of the polymerizable composition allows the suppression of the reduction in yield due to variations or irregularities in refractive index, color, optical strain, or the like.

    • PURPOSE: Provided are a novel polyisocyanate compound, its preparation method, a compound used in the method, a polymerizable composition containing the polyisocyanate compound, a resin obtained by polymerizing the composition, an optical material comprising the resin which is excellent in the balance of high heat resistance, Abbe's number and refractive index, and a lens comprising the optical material. CONSTITUTION: The polyisocyanate compound is represented by the formula 1, wherein k is an integer of 0-2; n is an integer of 0-1; k and n are not 0 simultaneously; and if k is 0, -(CH2)k- is not present. The polyisocyanate compound is prepared by reacting the compound represented by the formula 2 or its salt with phosgene. Preferably the polymerizable composition comprises the polyisocyanate compound of the formula 1; and optionally at least one kind of active hydrogen compound selected from a polyol, a polythiol and a mercapto compound having a hydroxyl group.
