    • A control circuit is applied to a power converter which controls the input current of the power converter. The power converter outputs an amount of output electric charge which is predetermined in each line cycle. The control circuit comprises: an input current control circuit; an output electric charge detection circuit; and a gating logic circuit. The input current control circuit controls the input current of the power converter by generating PWM signals. When the amount of the output electric charge outputted by the power converter in a single line cycle reaches a predetermined amount, the output electric charge detection circuit generates a gating logic signal. A gating logic circuit controls the switch of the power converter according to the gating logic signal and the PWM signals. The power converter outputs the amount of output electric charge which is predetermined in each line cycle.

    • A common core power factor correction resonant converter includes an energy conversion circuit. The energy conversion circuit receives an input line voltage and generates output power. The energy conversion circuit includes a coupling inductor and a charge storage capacitor. The coupling inductor and the charge storage capacitor are charged with the input line voltage in response to a control signal and generate a charge storage capacitor voltage. If the charge storage capacitor voltage is charged up to a preset level, the coupling inductor and the charge storage capacitor are discharged according to the control signal. After that, the energy of the coupling inductor and the charge storage capacitor is converted into an output load and an output voltage or current is controlled.
