    • PURPOSE: A method for preparing an olefin, an unsaturated carboxylic acid and an unsaturated nitrile from an alkane are provided, to convert an alkane into an alkene and an alkane and/or an alkene into an unsaturated carboxylic acid or an unsaturated nitrile. CONSTITUTION: An olefin is prepared by providing a three-dimensional supporter structure for supporting a catalyst; providing a catalyst containing a reductive metal oxide promoted with a co-catalyst metal of group 8 on the minimum region of the supporter structure; and reacting an alkane with oxygen in the presence of the supported-catalyst, wherein the contact time is 100 milliseconds or less and the conversion rate of the alkane is 40% at the least. Preferably the supporter structure is made of the material selected from the group consisting of silica, alumina, silica-alumina, aluminosilicate, zirconia, titania, boria, merlite, lithium aluminium silicate, oxide-bonded silicon carbide and their mixture; and the reductive metal oxide is an oxide of the material selected from the group consisting of Cu, Cr, V, Mn, Nb, Mo, W, Re, Ga, Ge, In, Sn, Sb, Tl, Pb, Bi, Te, As, Se, Zn, Y, Zr, Ta, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu and their mixture.
