The thread passage pre-setting device (47) has a protrusion element (48). The protrusion element (48) is disposed such that the upper thread (28) departs from a main guiding surface between the upstream upper thread guiding component (33) and the thread lever (34) and passes by. The main upper guiding surface is defined by the upstream upper thread guiding component (33), the thread lever (34), and a downstream upper thread guiding component (35). As a result, an improved thread passage pre-setting device may be obtained.

    • PURPOSE: A sewing machine is provided to convert transmission vibration motion occurred around a transmission vibration axis into the drive vibration motion of a looper vibration axis and to include a traction driver with a traction means, thereby reducing the mechanical stress about components. CONSTITUTION: A looper driver (14) comprises a drive unit (15) and a traction driver (26). The drive unit generates transmission vibration motion (16) around a transmission vibration axis line (17). The traction driver includes a traction means (25) and converts the transmission vibration motion occurring around the transmission vibration axis into the drive vibration motion of a looper vibration axis (13). The drive unit comprises a rotary drive shaft (5) and a crankshaft (18). One axis end (19) of the crankshaft is drive-connected with the drive shaft by an eccentricity unit (20). And the eccentricity unit is arranged in the drive shaft. The other axis end (21) of the crankshaft is connected to a transmission wheel and swings the transmission wheel backwards and forwards. The transmission wheel is mounted to a frame (5a) in order to circle around the transmission vibration axis.
