摘要： PURPOSE: A circle cutting process device in a machine tool and a method thereof are provided to reduce an unnecessary processing path which is repeated in the whole cycle only once by implementing a path which escapes from a circle when a process is completed, thereby reducing the whole processing route. CONSTITUTION: A circle cutting process device in a machine tool includes a processing pattern DB (130), a processing pattern cycle forming unit (120), and an encoding process unit (140). The processing pattern DB defines a basic processing path according to the kinds of processes for machining the inside or the outside of a processed material into a circle shape. A processing pattern cycle forming unit uses a processing data which is needed for a processing path and a circle processing work defined in advance by the processing pattern DB. The processing pattern cycle forming unit forms the whole cycle path according to the cut depth from the first circle to the final circle of the processed material. The processing pattern cycle forming unit produces a processing path every cycle. The encoding process unit encodes the processing path every cycle, which is formed by the processing pattern cycle, into a machine operation command.
