    • PURPOSE: A composition containing a gene encoding RNA-binding protein, SaPB1(Suaeda asparagoides RNA binding protein), for stress tolerance is provided to enhance tolerance to osmotic stress, freezing stress, and high temperature stress. CONSTITUTION: An RNA-binding protein, SaPB1, derived from Suaeda asparagoides contains an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2. A recombinant vector contains a gene encoding SaRBP1 protein. A composition for enhancing stress tolerance in a plant contains SaRBP1 gene. The stress includes osmotic stress, freezing stress, and high temperature stress. A method for enhancing tolerance to the stress in a plant comprises a step of transforming the recombinant vector into a plant and expressing SaRBP1 gene.
