摘要： An electrical connector which has a wire aligning function and which can be reduced in size is provided to reduce the size of the connector longitudinally easily by forming an aligning member having multiple through holes connected with connecting portions and a comb-like portion holding the wires, thereby aligning the wires. A connector connected to a plurality of wires(2a) includes a plurality of contacts(12), a housing(11), and an aligning member. The contacts are arranged in parallel in a first direction and have connecting portions(12a) to be connected to the wires. The housing holds the contacts. The aligning member aligns and holds the wires. The aligning member has a plurality of through holes(8a) arranged in parallel in the first direction and extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, a comb-like portion formed at one end in a third direction perpendicular to the first and the second directions and adapted to hold the wires, and a plurality of positioning portions formed at the other end in the third direction and arranged in parallel in the first direction for positioning the wires. A protector(8) is placed between the housing and the aligning member.
