摘要： The adaptor enables a miniature cassette to be used in a tape recorder/player deck without special mechanisms. The miniature cassette is inserted, with its cover open, into the adaptor. One of the tape spools fits over one of the spool drive capstans, while the drive from the other capstan is coupled on to the other miniature cassette spool via two gear wheels. A loop of tape is drawn out of the miniature cassette by two pin to position it at the front of the adaptor. In this positon, the tape can be handled normally by the machine. At the rear of the adaptor is an erase prevention lever the position of which is detected by a simple mechanism in the recorder.

An erroneous erasure preventing tab is located within the case and is urged in a direction for detecting and mechanically representing the existence of the erasure preventing tab. The erroneous erasure prevention mechanism comprises a single swing lever pivoted at one end. The tab probjects from one side to the swing lever and cooperates with the detecting mechanism of the standard type recording appts. The detecting part has a sloping part projecting from the other side of the swing lever.

摘要： A box is used for a cassette player and has external dimensions and shape similar to those of the standard size cassette. The adaptor has a slot to receive a miniature magnetic tape cassette, and mechanism to extract the tape from its cassette and pull it out to a position corresp. to that of a standard tape within a standard cassette. Two rollers for extracting the tape are arranged to engage it inside the miniature cassette, and then move sideways when an operating lever is manipulated. A cover fits over the cassette adaptor box, so that the threading mechanism may not be operated while the cassette is closed. The adaptor enables a miniature cassette to be played, or receive recording on a standard size cassette player.
