    • A rubber composition for tire treads is provided to impart improved traction quality and braking performance to a tire while maintaining good wear resistance and other physical properties of rubber. A rubber composition for tire treads comprises: 100 parts by weight of base rubber; and 1-30 parts by weight of crushed vulcanized rubber. The crushed vulcanized rubber comprises, based on 100 parts by weight of the base rubber, 50-100 parts by weight of silica, 4-8 parts by weight of a silane coupling agent, 0.5-5 parts by weight of zinc oxide, 0.5-5 parts by weight of stearic acid, 0.5-5 parts by weight of an antioxidant, 0.5-5 parts by weight of sulfur and 0.5-5 parts by weight of an accelerator. Additionally, the crushed vulcanized rubber has an average size of 0.001-2.0 mm and a vulcanization degree of 30-80%.

    • A rubber composition for a tire tread is provided to improve abrasion resistance and rotation resistance of a tire thread compound by applying a silane-grafted ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene. A rubber composition for a tire tread comprises 100 parts by weight of a base rubber; 50~90 parts by weight of at least one of carbon black and silica as a filler; and 1~20 parts by weight of silane-grafted ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene. The silane-grafted ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene is prepared by surface-treating a ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene which is an ethylene homopolymer having the average molecular weight of 500 or more or an ethylene-alphaolefin copolymer, with at least one functional group selected from OH, alkoxy radical, aldehyde group, carbonyl radical, carboxyl, amine radical and nitro group; adding silane and peroxide to the surface-treated ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene and reacting it.

    • A rubber composition is provided to improve durability and thermal conductivity without the deterioration of fatigue resistance and folding endurance by enhancing the dispersion of a carbon nanotube in the rubber composition. A rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a rubber material; 0.1-50 parts by weight of carbon black; 0.1-50 parts by weight of acetylene black; 0.1-100 parts by weight of a carbon nanotube; and 0.1-40 parts by weight of calcium carbonate. Preferably the carbon black has an iodine adsorption number of 40-80 mg/g and a DBP absorption value of 100-130 cc/100 g; and the carbon nanotube is a single-walled carbon nanotube, a multiwalled carbon nanotube, an oxidized single-walled carbon nanotube, an oxidized multiwalled carbon nanotube, or their mixture.
