    • An organic waste treatment apparatus is provided to effectively remove hydrogen sulfide contained in the bio gas when generating bio gas from organic waste. An organic waste treatment apparatus comprises: an anaerobic digestion tank(110) that provides a space for anaerobic digestion of organic waste; a gas bag(120) installed above the anaerobic digestion tank to collect bio gas generated from the anaerobic digestion tank; and a desulfurizing filter media system(130) installed between a top part of the anaerobic digestion tank and the gas bag to remove hydrogen sulfide contained in the bio gas using sulfur oxidizing bacteria, wherein the desulfurizing filter media system includes a filter media unit providing a space to which the sulfur oxidizing bacteria are fixed, and in which the sulfur oxidizing bacteria grow, and a fixing frame(133) for fixing the filter media unit to the anaerobic digestion tank, and wherein the filter media unit includes a first filter media layer(131) in which bar-shaped filter medias are arranged with being spaced apart from one another in a predetermined distance, and a second filter media layer(132) formed in the form of a sheet on the first filter media layer.
