    • PURPOSE: A pulse laser apparatus using multiple laser sources and a control method for a burst mode and a flexible burst mode using the same are provided to change an output pulse, a repetition rate, and a pulse length by controlling the output of a laser generator. CONSTITUTION: A laser generator(110) comprises a pulse laser source(112) which outputs an optical pulse, a continuous laser source(114) which outputs continuous light, and a laser source driver(116) which controls operation time of the pulse laser source and the continuous laser source. The laser generator includes a light leading unit(118) which leads a seed laser signal generated in the pulse laser source and the continuous laser source to a following optical amplifier(120). The optical amplifier amplifies the seed laser signal. The laser source driver controls energy which is accumulated in the optical amplifier in continuous light by interconnecting the pulse laser source and the continuous laser source.     • PURPOSE: A pump light source-protective optical fiber, a pump light source, a beam combiner, and an optical fiber laser are provided to efficiently protect the pump light source by adding Sm ion having a high light absorption rate around a laser oscillating frequency in a range between 1030-1110 nm and 1165-1610 nm. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of pump light sources (1) are composed of diodes (LD). A beam combiner (2) connects an input unit optical fiber (3) with an output unit optical fiber (4). A beam combiner output unit optical fiber (5) is connected with a gain fiber through a fiber Bragg grid (FBG). The output light of the diodes collected through the input unit optical fiber is delivered to a gain fiber and a laser light is oscillated by using a rare earth ion-added optical fiber. An optical fiber (100) is connected between the output unit optical fiber and the input unit optical fiber.

    • PURPOSE: A pulse laser system and a method of controlling a burst mode and a variable burst mode using the same are provided to not only form output pulses but also change a repetition rate and a pulse length by controlling the output of a laser beam generator. CONSTITUTION: A pulse laser apparatus(100) includes a laser beam generator(110) which generates seed laser signals including pulse signals and stand-by signals and a light amplifier(120) which generates amplified signals by amplifying the seed laser signals. The pulse laser apparatus includes a nonlinear wavelength converter(130) which non-linearly outputs wavelength conversion signals according to the intensity of the amplified signals. The pulse laser apparatus includes an photo-isolator(140) which separates wavelength conversion output pulses from the output of the wavelength converter. The laser beam generator can output both the pulse signals and the stand-by signals. The stand-by signals are generated in an idle period between the pulse signals.
