摘要： A one time password generator and an authentication apparatus using the same are provided to increase the security of user information on-line by generating new one time password and performing authentication at every authentication. A one time password generator includes a key generation unit(110), and a communication module(120). The key generation unit(110) generates and outputs a one time password based on specific information transmitted from an external authentication server and a previously stored secret key. The communication module(120) outputs the specific information transmitted from the external authentication server to the key generation unit(110), and transmits the encryption information encrypted and outputted from the key generation unit(110) to the authentication server. At least two LFSRs(Linear Feedback Shift Register) generates a random sequence by receiving an irregular clock provided by a nonlinear filter function generated in another LFSR. A password generation unit has a carry function, a memory function, and a coupling function. The password generation unit generates internal state information based on the previously stored secret key and the specific information transmitted from the external authentication server. The password generation unit generates and outputs a random numerical sequence, a carry numerical sequence which is generated in the carry function, and a coupling numerical sequence which couples a memory numerical sequence generated in the memory function to the coupling function, as one time password.
