摘要： A system for preventing and tracking illegal copy is provided to stop a copying process in a PLC(Power Line Communication) home network environment if the illegal copy is discriminated by extracting watermark information from a copy source, comparing an extracted watermark with an original watermark, and discriminating a relation level of both watermarks, and track the illegal copy by transmitting a location information signal through a power line. A copyrighted article(20) includes the watermark information. An illegal copy determiner(30) extracts the watermark information from a copyrighted article, compares the extracted watermark with the original watermark, and transmits an alarm signal if both the relation level of both watermarks is over a threshold in case that the copyrighted article is copied by using a copier. A PLC modem(40) transmits the alarm signal of the illegal copy determiner through the power line. A supervisory reader(60) decodes and tracks the encoded alarm signal transmitted from the PLC modem. The illegal copy determiner includes a memory(31), an extractor(32), a comparator(33), a turbo encoder(34), a modulator(35), an encryptor(36), and a transmission band pass filter(37).

The watermark information is extracted when the writing is copied(A). If the relation level over a threshold is represented by comparing the watermark information with the original watermark, an encoded alarm signal and the location information signal are transmitted through the power line while stopping the copy operation(B).
